Empowering Monroe County's Young Women: A summer of mentorship, resources, and free events

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - A new partnership is celebrating young women in our community.

YWCA of Rochester & Monroe County and Jazz Network teamed up to positively impact girls ages 11 to 18 in Monroe County.

They hosted a picnic at Genesee Valley Park on Friday afternoon, one of many events the groups have planned for this summer.

Their goal is to provide guidance, resources, and support to school-aged girls.
